Our Mission:

Medical Outreach of America is a multi-tiered organization dedicated to delivering international medical care, education, disease prevention strategies, and improving resources vital to healthier living.  MOA serves as a catalyst for collaboration with international community partners, and our efforts emphasize outreach work that contributes to continuity of care and the sustainability of ongoing in-country projects and programs.

Vietnam 2012 Medical/Dental Mission

February 25- March 3rd 2012

Medical Outreach of America is currently preparing for our return to Vietnam.  We need Physicians, Dentists, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and Support personnel to aid us in our effort.  We will be delivering Medical and Dental care to the 2,500 residents on Cu Lao Cham, the largest of several islands in the Cham Archipelago, which features white sand beaches and extremely varied flora and fauna.

We will be the first American team to visit the island; prior to 2005, no foreign visitors were allowed on the island.  The average islander earns less than $500.00/year, and although the island is only 15 km from the mainland, access to healthcare there is extremely limited with high peri-natal mortalities.  Our goal is to forge a lasting relationship with the island residents while collaborating to provide some sustainability of ongoing in-country projects and programs.
